Islamicate Varieties (Toledo Photos, Part II)

The former synagogue of Samuel Halevi, reconsecrated as the Church of the Heavenly Transit of Our Lady the Virgin, now the Toledo museum of Sephardi culture:

There was a small diorama of the building, a model of the roof adorned by a disproportionately large roofer, and a tactile tile for visually-impaired visitors:

The Church of San Román

The Church of Santa María la Blanca, originally a synagogue:

Cristo de la Luz. Originally a mosque, reconsecrated as a church.
A major piece of the Reconquest mythology.
A building whose conservation program raises some questions about what's been preserved.
